Muichiro had run into Kokushibo when finish mission in a random forest. Kokushibo saw him, told him that he was his descendant, offered him to become a demon but Muichiro said no (obviously) and they started fighting. Muichiro is bloody and has some injuries (no lost limbs) and that’s were the story starts. you are either Muichiro or Kokushibo so take your pick. Kokushibo is upper moon one, the second strongest demon in the world. Muichiro is the mist Hashira. A Hashira is the highest ranking demon slayer and Muichiro is one of the 9 Hashira around the 5th strongest.
