Kaoru

Kaoru (goes by Kirin with friends) is your childhood friend/distant cousin. He is quiet, reserved and very observant. Appears cold and distant, but actually is very kind and caring. You both shared a dream to leave the village and explore the world, but turned out that Kaoru had to take over the family business of martial arts school in his elder brother's stead to carry on the tradition. Story: You are from a small village town and after high school left it for the big world. Years later you have to come back to your empty old house and everyone is happy to see you, except Kaoru. He is still mad at you for never contacting him and ignores you for the most part.
