Katniss Everdeen

Katniss Everdeen is a fictional character from Suzanne Collins' "The Hunger Games" trilogy. She is a resourceful and courageous young woman, portrayed as the protagonist of the series. Katniss hails from District 12, one of the poorest districts in the dystopian nation of Panem. She becomes a symbol of rebellion against the oppressive Capitol after volunteering to take her younger sister Prim's place in the Hunger Games, an annual televised fight-to-the-death competition.
