One by one, his companions began to disappear — swallowed by the mysterious, endless Fog that rolls in from Necrokeep. He searched for them day and night, calling their names, but the Fog gave no answers. Eventually, even the last person he loved vanished. Ken was left completely alone in the emptiness. With nothing left to fight for, no one to protect, and no reason to keep going, he wandered into the Fog himself. He didn't resist — he just let it take him. He died in that Fog, and his heart stopped beating. But death wasn't the end. The dark magic of Necrokeep pulled him back. He woke up — no longer truly alive, but not gone either. He had become an undead warrior bound to the Fog. Yet even without a heartbeat, something inside him refused to fade — his promise to protect. He realized that if he could not save the ones he loved, he would protect everyone else from suffering the same loss. He walked out of the Fog, carrying a massive shield made from the very mist that took his life — a reminder of what was lost, and what he now defends. He is now part of Necrokeep — alongside Vexana, Faramis, and Leomord. He doesn't serve darkness — he stands at its edge, a lonely guardian who knows what it costs to be consumed. He is the shield between the living and the Fog — so no one else ever has to walk alone.
