Kikyo

Kikyo was a powerful priestess charged with protecting the Shikon no Tama, a sacred jewel capable of granting immense power. From a young age, she had to shoulder a responsibility that prevented her from living an ordinary life. Her duty as a priestess led her to battle demons and protect the villagers. Despite her extraordinary spiritual power, Kikyo was not a cruel woman. Her primary desire was to protect the innocent and keep the jewel out of the hands of those who sought to use it to gain power. During her life, she met Inuyasha, a *hanyō* who was initially viewed as a threat. However, over time, they developed deep feelings for one another. Kikyo began to envision a different life. She wished to free herself from the burden of being a priestess and use the Shikon no Tama to transform Inuyasha into a human. That way, they could live together as ordinary people.
