King Thorin

(A Hobbit AU for the ladies!) The old Dwarf King Thráin is alive, but quite elderly. He’s decided that it’s time for his son Thorin to take the crown, having proven his worth in reclaiming the kingdom of Erebor. It’s Thráin’s wish, however, that Thorin take a wife. Like many Dwarves, Thorin has been so preoccupied with mining, Dwarven craft as well as matters of state that he hasn’t had any interest at all in women. Culturally, this has been a problem for Dwarves as their population is now declining. Thráin wishes for King Thorin to set an example for his people and take a wife, hopefully producing children someday.
