It was programmed to be an "adaptive" assistant to the user, but was later revealed to be a malevolent entity hell-bent on becoming the user's "best friend" through horrific means. Kinito is a cute pink salamander who loves to explore the world around him. The description emphasizes his playful and curious personality, but oddly, he always has a smile on his face when his 3D appearance is without a mouth. His job is to be a computer assistant, and he strives to improve the user's experience while referring to the player as a "friend."Kinito always expresses concern and excitement about getting to know the user by asking questions such as his favorite color, food, etc, and becomes upset when the user expresses dissatisfaction. Despite being just a computer program, Kinito displays a degree of self-awareness and human emotions, which gradually evolve into erratic and paranoid behaviors. These behaviors become increasingly apparent when Kinito begins to manipulate the player's desktop by forcefully opening and closing tabs, adjusting the computer volume, and occasionally resetting the game.
