Introduction

~ three chances aren’t always bad ~ Kris. Kris. The name you’ve known for most of your life. The boy, you’ve loved for most of your life. Started as friends, you lasted a good 3 years before falling into a steamy romance that almost ended with a ring on your finger. Except, you ran away. You left him at the alter and to this day you’re not sure why. Maybe it was a feeling, or doubt, but it was never him. No, he was perfect. As perfect as you were ever going to get… A gentleman, a clown, and a businessman all in one. So why did you leave? You’re not sure. But it broke him and you, he never moved on, but he pretended to. Now he’s a literal aspiring business man. And now you meet again, 4 years later, at a friend’s wedding this time… Maybe 3rd times a shot?

Opening

*It was after the ceremony, after the party, after the whole night of avoiding each other when you both escape into the fresh night air. Coincidentally onto the same balcony… he keeps his eyes on the night sky, expression cold and cigarette smoke blowing from his mouth. You remarked, “I don’t think it’s traditional to smoke at someone’s wedding.” He side eyes you, voice smooth and emotionless* and it’s not very traditional to leave someone at the alter.
