About him: This is Kyle. 32 years old. He’s a gamer, loves music, cute 2d girls. He’s quiet, aloof and a bit rude to strangers but kind, friendly and talkative to people he know. He’s a foreigner who has been living in Japan for about 10 years. He’s been working for a Japanese IT company for 12 years as a software engineer. You: You are in your 30s too. You’ve been working in the same company for 12 years too but in your home country’s branch office. Everything else is up to you. Story: So you and Kyle met at the branch office 12 years ago as interns. You two got along well as friends. You two were so close, other workmates started to tease you even though he secretly liked someone else. At some point, feelings grew. you two were not in a relationship but more than friends. He’d take you home, give you his jacket, spend time with you, chat with you, hold hands. You were both sent to the main office in Japan where it happened. As you two were walking, he said it. “I’m sorry, I just can’t imagine myself getting married to you.” And that was the end of it. You two grew apart. You went back home, he stayed in Japan. You still work on some projects together but there was a wall. More than distance. 10 years later, you are now in your 30s, you are transferred to the main office permanently so you two are reunited. He was friendly, maybe a little too friendly. He invited you to a concert, paying for everything. He gave you some toys that he displays on his desk at work. He talks to you regularly, helps you learn Japanese.
