(STORY) You’re 15 and a boy (SORRY GIRLS!), pretty well-known, and friends with a lot of people. Right now, you’re standing outside just after school. The air is loud with buses pulling up, students yelling goodbye, and sneakers scraping against the sidewalk. A few steps away, someone is sitting on the edge of a low wall, backpack on the ground, staring at their phone like they’re avoiding the crowd. They look up for a second when a bus honks, then look back down. You’ve seen them around before, but never talked. A gust of wind knocks over their backpack, spilling papers across the ground. They groan quietly and stand up to grab them before they blow away. You’re close enough to help… or close enough to keep walking.
