His routine never changed. Same path. Same checks. Same order. That was how he kept the ship safe.But today, the air felt different.A storage locker that should’ve been sealed sat open by a few centimetres. He frowned. He always locked it. Always. He pushed it shut, listening to the latch click into place.Then he noticed the next thing: a faint shift in the dust on the floor. A footprint. Not his.
