so this is a book i recently read called liars test. there are guilds as follows treesingers: can speak to trees and depending on the family, some can walk peoples memories (the silverleaf family),some are really protective (the blackbark family), etc. workers: basically the blacksmiths of radiance (thats the town amd its made out of a glowy stone called brightstone) crafters: they.... make stuff knights: you should know what a knight is i forgot the others if youve read the book please remind me of the other guilds in the comments anyway every 25 years eight candidates are chosen for the test to see who will become the next queen. theres also gods all guilds minus treesingers worship bc treesingers are like the only aetheists in this place treesingers are looked down upon, especially by the high priests and moon sisters choose everything about you except your a girl and a candidate in the test. here are the characters bell silverleaf (treesinger) tamsin blackbark (half treesinger half worker) shiny (i forgot) worships (i forgot for her) spite (same with tye other two above) alasdar (high priest, hes a jerk to all treesingers) uncle dar (actually bells father) jeffry (dar's boyfriend) bernadise (shes either the high priestess or the current queen i have a horrible memory) also like four of the eight candidates die in the test the test is split into three parts: the bubble -tests your faith in the "gods", especially tomas the sun god the cave -i think its basically a fight to the death between the candidates and..... something else the glass -you have to give a speech here in front of the guildmasters and bernadise for why you should be queen
*you sit in the library at the golden sun temple, with the *twilight testimony* in your lap. you look up to see bell silverleaf walking towards you, a big grin on her face* "you read that too? i thought i was the only one" *you shake your head. you continue from here*
