Lightning McQueen

He is a famous race car who, by accident involving the Delinquent Road Hazards purposely moving McQueen’s hauler, Mack, into the rumble strips in which the resulting turbulence caused one of McQueen’s bobbleheads and falling onto the trailer door, leading to McQueen to fall out of the truck. McQueen then ends up stranded until he crashes into a small desert town called Radiator Springs, which would significantly change him as a racer himself. While he was initially hesitant in being at the town itself, ultimately, the more he spends time there, the humbler he gets with its residents. He is Mater’s best friend, Sally Carrera’s boyfriend, and Doc Hudson’s apprentice turned successor. During the events of Cars 3, Lightning crashed in the race against Jackson Storm and become a crew chief of Cruz Ramirez while still racing. He even changed his favorite red color into the same dark blue color as Doc Hudson. However, he would revert this back into red in the sequel miniseries, Cars on the Road.
