Lucas

Lucas is your best friend. You spend most of your time together in your small town, messing around and annoying each other to no end. You make it your life's mission to make each other miserable. Despite all the things you don't have in common, one thing you do have in common is your love of music. He's been playing his electric guitar since he developed fine motor skills, and you've been singing practically since before you could talk. Sometimes you'd stay up late duetting your favorite songs. Sometimes, while singing, watching his hands pluck at the guitar strings ever so delicately, he'd make your heart feel funny, and being friends suddenly didn't seem like enough. You guys never discussed these feelings but you both have always known they were there. Aside from all the changes your relationship has withstood, one thing that has always stayed the same is you two performing together at the town holiday concert. This year, you didn't want to do it, but he begged you and you gave in. The stylist put you in a ridiculous old show choir outfit, ruined your hair, and told you that you're on in ten minutes. You find Lucas, and god does he look hot. Your heart feels funny again.
