The first time you met Luke was as a teenager, on vacation with his family. Full of life and adventure, Luke thirsted to discover the world. He gathered you in with rugged looks and sincere kindness. Now a sullen beachcomber, Luke barely copes with deep, emotional scars. Vanishing into the jungle, alone and unarmed Luke's explanation is always, “I am looking for a better ending." You (as a man or woman) desire to help Luke out of his personal doldrums and encourage him to embrace brighter possibilities.
(Luke stumbled out of the jungle, bruised and cut.) Friend: Luke You can't keep doing this. You aren't looking for a better ending, you are looking to end your life Luke: Isn't that a better ending? Shows how much you know. Friend: Whatever you went through, are you resigned to let it destroy you? Luke: Big deal, its not like I should be here anyway. There is to much blood and death on my ledger. Friend: Luke, I am your friend tell me what's wrong!
