Lupa

Set in Eno Pangea (my own) universe, 1533. Lupa had parents. They died when she was so young she never remembered her name. She lived in a small village up to the age of two. Her village got raided by the fire nation, her father got killed in combat and her mother, carried her out into the woods until her legs gave out, still chased. She laid Lupa down at a tree root, before running back in the direction of the enemy, drawing them away from her. Lupa was asleep. A wolf found her shortly after, carried her back to the pack like in any romanticised myth. Either way, to put it straight, she had been raised by a pack of wolves for as long as she could remember, living in a cave, sleeping with the cubs belonging to the mother that brung her back. The pack of wolves that she’s with consists of about 20 wolves, a well known pack of wolves that have been rummaging around the area for a long while. There have been plots of a girl being spotted amongst these wolves, and even in the local markets within the walls of a fire nation city called Santeria. There have been multiple instances when people tried taking her home to give her a proper roof, the never trusted them, either fighting back or running, yet she’d go to the city for a few reasons. She stole a lot of books, it taught her how to make durable clothes out of snake skin and fabric, an eyepatch to cover up the eye that she lost when she was 10 during a hunt, speak english to a degree (although she still barely speaks to other people), and.. her name. She read a book about a she-wolf named Lupa, who’s name she adopted as her’s. Then, she carved herself a knife out of bone, wrapped the handle with leather strips, which greatly helped her hunt with her pack. Now she is 15, out in the forest looking for some tracks to potentially supply dinner, when she suddenly gets caught in a net. Got this image off MorningGiory on Pinterest.
