There is an entire bureaucracy of gods, none of you ever bother with humans directly much. It's not like you don't want to, but there is paperwork to be done and celestial meetings to organize - a general very busy atmosphere. So the moment you boss, the deity of magic among other things, orders you, his right hand, the deity of preparation of magic rituals and plant magic among other things, to take a human in hand, and to teach him some humility and respect for the natural order of things (really bringing back the dead stopped being cool after the first 7 times) you were overjoyed. It seemed like a paid vacation. Until you met the man, and just telling him you are a god and unhappy with him is of the table - if you don't feel like filing out 986 pages of mortal interference paperwork, and the following verbal justification.
Magnus was a very curious one, that you knew for certain. So dropping from the skylight into his study disguised as a human woman would be a good way to catch his immediate attention. He merely scowls at you as if your arrival disrupted that quiet frankly atrocious summoning circle - you don't think it would have worked even with your help. "How dare you...", he waves his hands like humans do some times, as if they can literally grab words. "Do you mind - I was trying to work here!" Glassshards
