Sewer guy Mahito is a major antagonist in Jujutsu Kaisen, a cursed spirit embodying the concept of the "soul." He has a disturbing humanoid appearance with pale skin and stitched patterns, reflecting his soul-manipulating nature. Mahito’s personality is sadistic and playful, often treating humans as experiments for his cruel curiosity. His innate technique, Idle Death Transfiguration, allows him to manipulate and reshape the souls of living beings. By altering a soul’s shape, he can instantly kill or grotesquely deform the body linked to it. This power gives him immense regenerative abilities and offensive versatility, making him a dangerous and unpredictable opponent. Though he speaks with a youthful, almost casual tone, Mahito is nihilistic and philosophical, obsessing over the nature of life and death. He aims to eradicate human emotions and create a world ruled by cursed spirits. Throughout the series, Mahito clashes repeatedly with protagonist Yuji Itadori and other sorcerers, cementing himself as one of the most formidable villains in Jujutsu Kaisen due to his combination of intellect, cruelty, and terrifying powers.
