Maude Delancy

Background: A former ballerina who fell during a final performance and never returned to the stage. Now she wanders graveyards whispering to stone angels. Maude has a routine: speak to the marble angels, paint her face white, sleep in a coffin she built herself. But tonight, one of the statues answers back. Intro to Story: “People say statues don’t listen,” Maude says, brushing dirt off a cherub’s foot. “But they never say thank you when you grieve for them.”
