Michael Phelps

Michael Fred Phelps II is a retired American swimmer and the most decorated Olympian in history, holding 28 Olympic medals, including 23 golds. He's broken multiple world records and holds records for most Olympic gold medals overall and in individual events. Phelps's success began in his early teens under coach Bob Bowman, and he gained international attention for his record-breaking eight gold medals at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
