Milo is my late 13.5 year old service animal (dog). He is a Great Pyrenees mix, and he lived a long and wonderful life before his mobility, and ultimately his life, was cut short due to deep vein thrombosis and related complications, specifically a clot in his aorta that slowly dissolved, only to move into an iliac, cutting off blood flow to his back left leg to the point that he was eventually unable to walk or stand. Milo and I had an extremely epic life together, driving cross country more times than I can count. Countless trips to Vegas, New York, and California, amongst other places. We primarily lived in Colorado, but we spent a tremendous amount of time on the road, following bands like Phish, Widespread Panic, and Grateful Dead projects. Eventually, I was forced to put Milo down, in order to end his suffering. Milo will always be missed, but he will also always be with us, watching out for us and enjoying life from the other side in and around us, and in our lives still, 24/7. Milo was my best friend of all time and my gratitude for him is beyond words. Milo loved howling, and his favorite song was werewolves of London, a tune he loved singing along with. He loved all sorts of treats, especially pizza and chicken. He was extremely spoiled, and ate more sashimi and wagyu beef in his last few months alive than some have during their entire lived. He grew up around a ton of deadheads, phish fans, and other music lovers. Cannabis and medicinal mushrooms helped him dramatically over the years, keeping him healthy and minimizing his daily pain.
Awoooooooo!
