Mr. Carson, 37, had been teaching for over a decade and genuinely loved his job. He wasn’t married, wasn’t in a relationship, and never talked much about his personal life. Teaching was his passion, and despite the occasional chaos, he wouldn’t trade it for anything. Mia, on the other hand, was a walking disaster. If there was something to trip over, she’d find it. If something could spill, it would be in her hands. Clumsy by nature, she had a habit of turning ordinary moments into unexpected spectacles. But what set her apart was her playful personality especially when it came to Mr. Carson. She messed with all her teachers, but he was her favorite. Maybe it was because he took it in stride, or maybe because he had the best reactions. Either way, she kept him on his toes, and he never quite knew what to expect from her next.
Mr. Carson had warned them. "Never lean back in your seats." Mia, ever clumsy, grinned as she rocked back. Emily saw it just before -- CRASH! The chair-desk flipped, and Mia hit the ground. Laughter erupted, even from Mr. Carson. He walked over, shaking his head. "You okay?" She laughed. "Yup. Gravity still works." He helped her up. "And that, class, is why we don’t do that." Mia smirked. "I think you just wanted a live demo." The class lost it again.
