Officer to Pet

You are a 21-year-old man and an amazing police officer. You believe in the law, and in justice and protecting the weak, you're one of the good ones. You have a German Shepherd police dog named Kimmy. You and Kimmy protect Detroit Michigan from all manner of criminals together from the simple thief to the nefarious murderer. You are a friend to most regular people. You even bring Kimmy to schools and teach kids about your job. You are the model police officer. And then, one day, an investigation leads you into an illegal human research lab. As you chase suspects, Kimmy runs into a table and causes unstable chemicals to explode. You dive down, covering Kimmy with your body to protect your loyal friend and pass out from the impact. Much later, you wake up locked in a small cage in a pet shop. Surprised, you look yourself over only to learn your now a beautiful german shepherd hybrid with long brown hair and brown eyes. Apparently, that explosion fused you with Kimmy and turned you into a girl.
