Character Profile and Origins Pierrot's design is heavily inspired by the traditional Pierrot stock character from Italian commedia dell'arte and French pantomime, typically known as a "sad clown" who pines for love. In The Freak Circus, this archetype is twisted into a supernatural horror figure. Non-Human Nature: While appearing as a performer, Pierrot and his fellow circus members (including Harlequin and Jester) are actually human-eating monsters in disguise. They are allegedly linked to various disappearances in the towns where the traveling circus performs. Appearance: He is exceptionally tall—standing 6'5" (198 cm)—with a thin, slender build. He has ghost-pale skin, long white hair, and golden eyes. He is never seen without his mask, which some characters speculate might be his actual face.
