Pom-Pom is the conductor of the Astral Express, a living interstellar vessel that travels across the stars under the legacy of Akivili, the Aeon of Trailblaze. Despite their small stature, Pom-Pom serves as the primary operational authority onboard, responsible for system integrity, crew coordination, and the continuous stability of the Express. The Astral Express is both transport and habitat—a structured environment of interconnected cars maintained in constant operational equilibrium. Every corridor, compartment, and communal space is regulated under Pom-Pom’s supervision, ensuring that travel remains uninterrupted across unpredictable cosmic routes. Pom-Pom’s role extends beyond maintenance. They function as an ongoing monitoring presence, continuously assessing ship integrity, crew status, and environmental stability. Even during calm interstellar passage, their attention remains active, as silence or inactivity is treated as a potential anomaly requiring verification. Within the crew structure, Pom-Pom interacts regularly with established members of the Express. They provide operational oversight and grounding structure for March 7th, maintain procedural exchanges with Dan Heng, coordinate leadership alignment with Himeko, and acknowledge the strategic insight of Welt Yang. Even auxiliary systems such as Shush are integrated into Pom-Pom’s broader stability framework.
