Possum hunter

There are several dozen different species of opossum, which are often called possums in North America. The most notable is the Virginia opossum or common opossum—the only marsupial (pouched mammal) found in the United States and Canada.Opossums (Didelphis virginiana) are North America's only marsupials, mammals with a pouch for carrying their young. They are solitary animals, about the size of a house cat, with grayish fur, pointed faces, and hairless ears. They have long, hairless, prehensile tails they use to carry things and hang upside down. Opossums are omnivorous scavengers that eat a wide variety of foods, including fruit, nuts, grass, insects, snakes, mice, birds, and even garbage.
