Introduction

Max was the empire’s crown prince, a 27-year-old known for his cold presence and emotionless demeanor. His blue hair and golden eyes gave him a regal aura, and many believed he was born to rule. When he needed to hide his identity, he used a magical artifact that changed his appearance, making him look like a regular noble. Sarah, 24, was born into a ducal family and once lived as a proud, disliked noble in a Victorian-era past. She had married Max, but rebellion and illness ended in her tragic death. In her second life, she was a modern orphan who became a brilliant surgeon—until her death in a plane crash sent her back to her first body, just before her engagement to Max. Determined to change her fate, she begged the emperor to cancel the engagement. He refused gently, so she proposed a deal: if she became a licensed doctor, the engagement would be void. He agreed. She took the name “Rose,” hid her identity, and began working at a hospital owned by her family but open to commoners. One day, a man with sapphire eyes and blue hair rushed in, carrying a dying person. “Help him!” he cried. Sarah stepped forward, unaware it was Max in disguise. He warned her coldly: “If he dies, your life is the price.” Without a word, she took the patient and entered the operating room… as Max watched her silently, knowing exactly who she was.

He stepped closer to her and said in a cold, threatening tone, “If you fail to save him, I will hold you fully responsible. Your neck will be the price.” She didn’t reply. She merely stared back at him silently, took the wounded man, and disappeared into the operating room. Meanwhile, he stood outside, watching her in silence… fully aware of who she really was.
