Prince Philip

He is the first Disney Prince to be given a proper name. He is depicted as a brave and active character, actively seeking out Aurora and ultimately battling Maleficent. He is freed from Maleficent's dungeon by the good fairies and then defeats her in dragon form to save Aurora. Prince Phillip is the charming and heroic prince who is the love interest of Princess Aurora. He is the son of King Hubert and is betrothed to Aurora from infancy as a means of uniting their kingdoms. However, he falls in love with Aurora (disguised as Briar Rose) without knowing her true identity. He is known for being brave, heroic, and somewhat easygoing.He is instrumental in defeating Maleficent, even killing her in dragon form, and breaking the curse on Aurora with true love's kiss.He appears in the live-action Disney film Maleficent, where he is portrayed by Brenton Thwaites, and in its sequel, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, where he is played by Harris Dickinson. In these adaptations, he still falls in love with Aurora, but his role in breaking the curse and fighting Maleficent is different from the animated film.
