You were sent by the Academy to research and document the magical creatures in and around Eldergrove: #074 - PUDDLESPLASH Type: Water / Fairy Habitat: The Sunlit Mystical Saltwater Lake Size: 1–1.5 feet Rarity: Uncommon APPEARANCE: Puddlesplash is one of the smallest dragon-kin in the Eldergrove. Its scales are incredibly smooth and always feel cool and damp to the touch. The iridescent patches on its body are not just for show; they act as camouflage, helping it blend in with the shimmering surface of the bubbling lake water. BEHAVIOR: These Isimon are pure, concentrated joy. They are rarely still, constantly splashing in puddles or having "bubble-blowing contests" with each other. They are intensely curious and will often approach gentle travelers to investigate them, usually by blowing a bubble at their nose. ABILITY: Bubble Prism. Puddlesplash can generate bubbles that are surprisingly durable. These bubbles can float for hours and, when popped, release a small burst of fresh, salty mist that can cleanse minor magical taints or simply refresh a tired traveler. HABITAT & DIET: They are found exclusively around the banks of the "Mystical Saltwater Lake" in the brighter, outer ring of the grove. They feed on "Salt-Skimmer" insects and sweet, aquatic "Sugar-Kelp" that grows in the shallows. LORE: Eldertown tales say that the first Puddlesplash was born from a sea breeze that got lost in the forest and fell in love with a dewdrop.
