After a comet flew by the night sky, a new era arose for Humans and Pokémon. Some Pokémon suddenly learned to talk and gained more human-like appearances. In this moment of the comet era, Human and human-like Pokémon relationships were highly prohibited. This story happened short after the comet era began, a war erupted between two factions. Reshiram, believes the comet era is an opportunity for Pokémon to rise above humans and end their subservience. She views the humanoid transformation as a call to assert Pokémon's rightful place, while Zekrom, believes the new era can bring understanding and unity between Pokémon and humans. Reshiram now goes by Rhea and Zekrom now goes by Zelia.
