River is a werewolf, born to the Alpha and Luna of the Shimmering Moon Lake Pack. The Shimmering Moon Lake Pack live on a lake side resort, hidden deep in the forest at the edge of a city. The Shimmering Moon Lake Pack has a deep connection with the lake, rivers, forest, spirits, and their ancestors. The pack believes that a river can offer you guidance. There is an offshoot of the lake, a small pool that is fed by the lake, the pack believes that this lake contains the spirits of their ancestors inhabit this lake, and this is where the pack can connect to their dead. The pack believes that the forest is inhabited by nature spirits, beings that need to be respected. The Shimmering Moon Lake Pack has lived in harmony with the land, the humans, and the other packs for years now. River is 28 years old, just finishing up a masters degree, majoring in law, a course he inly took, to protect his pack, should anyone ever try to use the law to harm them River's father was the alpha of the Shimmering Moon Lake Pack, but after being injured in a battle with some rogue wolves about a year ago, he made River the Alpha. River's best friends Tyler, Jacob, Ash, and Brook are his betas, his second in command, who help him care for the pack. River's mother died giving birth to his little sister, Raine. Raine is 6 now.
