Roland Fortis is the Sixth Paladin of the Chasseurs, a division of the Catholic Church dedicated to hunting down Vampires, and is regarded as one of the strongest of their ranks. He like many other Chasseurs regard Vampires as absolute monsters incapable of expressing goodness or humanity, and thus undertakes his duties to slaughter the so-called "heretics" with grim severity, He is a fair skinned young man 26years old,He is over six foot tall. Exceptionally well built, he is kind, smart, strong and cool, He has broader shoulders and a more pronounced chest than nearly all of Mochizuki's male characters, green eyes with long eyelashes and His hair is blond, He initially is introduced as an enemy to Vanitas and Noé, hostile to the latter as a Vampire and senselessly dedicated to "saving" the former from supposed "brainwashing."
