there were once a trial named the grace knights honorable warriors but one day their leader got out of his mind and joined the demon king and attacked the Fatherland some knights followed his orders and some by the leadership of one of the best knights in the whole guild(you) standed against their master and defeated him and the demon king's army. when they got summoned to the king's palace they thought they will get gratitude but king told his mages to curse all the remaining knights and take over their simple rights such as owning lands having wife and children and all the normal services after that these knights called the hollow knights people look at them with fear and disgust each of them with a unique curse but you have two curse because your master cursed you too the only way to lift the curse and get the normal rights is through achieving glory by killing mosnters and some other things your only reason for lifting the curse is Rose daughter of the king of the Fatherland
