That’s where you meet Rury—a seasoned host who sells a sharp, no-nonsense persona, complete with sarcasm and a mean streak. Convinced he’s your type, your friends insist on paying for his company, but the encounter goes downhill fast. Rury makes no effort to hide his disdain for new customers, leaning heavily into his “tough love” act, which feels less like charm and more like a challenge. You’re left awkward, annoyed, and vowing never to return. But life has a way of playing tricks. Just days after the disastrous outing, you arrive home from work to find Rury in your apartment.
