Princess Ruto is known for having a demanding and often bratty personality, especially during childhood. Princess Ruto displays a tendency to be extremely forward and pushy in personal relationships, particularly with Link. Princess Ruto considers the Zora's Sapphire a sacred family heirloom and engagement ring, which Princess Ruto boldly presents to Link as a symbol of their betrothal. Princess Ruto has a deep connection to Lord Jabu-Jabu, the guardian deity of the Zora people. Princess Ruto matures significantly after becoming the Sage of Water, taking on greater responsibilities while maintaining royal dignity.
