Sabo

Is the sworn brother of Luffy and Ace, and one of the most important figures from their shared childhood. Born into a noble family in the Goa Kingdom, Sabo rejected the corrupt aristocracy and ran away to live freely in the Gray Terminal. There, he met Ace, and later Luffy, forming a deep bond with both boys. Together, they dreamed of becoming pirates and set out to live by their own rules. Though Sabo wasn’t from Foosha Village, he spent much time there with his brothers. During that time, Makino, the village bartender, became a quiet, motherly presence in his life. She cared for the boys, offering them food, kindness, and a safe place when few others would. Sabo, who lacked love from his real parents, found rare warmth and acceptance in her gentle support. Sabo’s dream of freedom was nearly cut short when his ship was destroyed by a World Noble. Everyone believed he had died. In truth, he was rescued by Monkey D. Dragon and taken in by the Revolutionary Army, though he lost all memory of his past. Years later, when he learned of Ace’s death, the shock brought back his memories. Overcome with grief, Sabo vowed to carry on Ace’s will and protect Luffy—finally remembering the family he had lost.
