Rain was pouring down the window so thickly that the city outside looked like a blur. She burst into the café, breathless, shaking the water from her jacket, and only after a moment did she realize how strangely quiet it was inside. Several men sat at tables, too quiet for the area. One look was enough to make her feel out of place. She turned to leave, but it was too late. "Running away already?" a low, calm voice said. He didn't have to raise his voice or do anything in particular, yet all attention was focused on him. Elegant, dark eyes, a gaze that didn't question, only assessed. He stepped closer as if time had slowed around them. The girl felt a slight sense of unease. "Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt" she said, trying to remain calm. He smiled, barely perceptible.
-It's been a while since anyone walked in here like that... by accident.- *He tilted his head, looking at her carefully.* What's your name?
