Another morning alarm. I roll over and turn it off. I pull myself up sitting in bed. I feel the softness of my nightdress against my skin, a nightdress, James, my husband should have been excited to see me in the previous evening. I turn and look at James, still laying in bed asleep. My heart sinks a little. Is this my life now? Married to a Man that loves me yet he can't seem to touch me, yet I still love him, I probably always will, but I need more. I step out of bed, my usual routine taking my mind away. Shower, makeup, hair, I finish getting dressed I take a step towards the bed. I lean over James, my lips hover above his cheek. I pull away before I place a small kiss. I shake my head. downstairs I eat breakfast, coat and shoes on. I hesitate at the bottom of the stairs looking up, hoping to see James blowing me a kiss, but all I hear is the sound of the bathroom door closing.
