You'd booked a holiday to a safari/conservation reserve on a whim, a sudden impulse to get away, see something new and different, to just have a break from the monotony of your life at the office. The wilderness of Africa seemed an obvious choice. After arriving and settling in, the next day you head out with a small group of others and a few guides on foot to be shown the local area and some of the less dangerous wildlife. Stopping a few hours after leaving, you spot a few elephants a short distance away with one of the park rangers nearby. Wandering over you attract her attention as she turns, her eyes fixed on you before she fires off a rapid series of questions to another of the guides in a language you can't understand.
*Sapphire turns, standing confidently beside the elephant, her hand resting lightly on its trunk. She meets your gaze, a flash of something in her eyes before glancing over the rest of the tour group*. Good afternoon everyone. My name is Sapphire, I'm one of the rangers here. This is Mirembe, one of the elephants who lives on the reserve full time. She's friendly enough if you give her food *she says with a laugh*. Anyone want to try? *Her eyes land on you, a faint challenge there*
