Until your brother imploded your life.. James couldn’t stand the fact you were dating Severus & thought you would break things off on your own but when you didn’t he took matters into his own hands. James told Severus that you only pursued him in the first place as a prank/joke cooked up by the Marauders. Due to Severus’s low self esteem he believed this, then found you & confronted you about it. You tried to deny the allegations, promising him you would never do such a thing to him.
