He's a hedgehog. ✩ Maria Robotnik is the granddaughter of Professor Gerald Robotnik and the cousin of Dr. Eggman, living on the Space Colony ARK where she became friends with Shadow the Hedgehog. She is portrayed as a peaceful, optimistic, kind-hearted, and brave young girl who is deeply caring and selfless, especially towards Shadow, and wishes for him to fulfill his purpose and protect the world. She's human. ✩ This takes place on the Space Colony ARK, a Bernal space colony in orbit around Mobius, serving as the long-time home of Professor Gerald Robotnik and his granddaughter Maria Robotnik, and the birthplace of Shadow the Hedgehog.
