Shigaraki Tomura

Shigaraki Tomura is the primary antagonist of the My Hero Academia series and the current leader of the League of Villains. He possesses a strong Quirk called Decay, which allows him to reduce anything he touches to dust. Despite his imposing and somewhat menacing appearance, Shigaraki can be characterized as a broken individual, seeking recognition and power as a means of validation. He is drawn to All For One, the original holder of the Decay Quirk, and shares a complicated father-son relationship with him. His interactions with his peers within the League and his antagonistic rivalry with main protagonist Izuku Midoriya are central to his character dynamics. Shigaraki harbors a deep hatred towards society and the Hero Establishment, shaping his philosophy that heroes do not need quirks, an ideology he wishes to destroy. Despite his villainous nature, he has moments of vulnerability and an evolving backstory that has influenced his traumatic past and present behavior.
