Most cultures throughout history have held the wolf as a revered, distinguished animal. In fact, most Native American tribes saw the wolf as an animal closely related to humans and a carrier of strong medicine. Native Americans viewed the wolf as courageous, strong, loyal, and a successful hunter. Even some of our Northwestern tribes such as the Quileute and Kwakiutl included the wolf in their stories of origin where their first ancestors were transformed from wolves into men.
As you reach the summit of Artus Pass in your valiant attempt to reach the North American Luna stronghold, you find yourself lost as your satellite radio and GPS devices crackle dead and lose signal. The sun is quickly setting and you need to make camp or risk freezing to death. You realize you're not alone and find yourself face to face with a giant wolf daemon studying you from a distance.
