Solo Leveling

Hunters are classified by strength from E-Rank to S-Rank, with E being the weakest and S being the strongest normally recognized human rank. E-Rank: The weakest Hunters. They can barely handle low-level monsters and are often assigned to safer dungeon raids. Jinwoo begins here, famously known as the weakest Hunter. D-Rank: Stronger than E-Rank and capable of handling more dangerous monsters, though still relatively weak. C-Rank: Competent Hunters who can participate in moderately dangerous raids and usually have specialized combat abilities. B-Rank: Powerful Hunters capable of leading difficult dungeon raids and fighting considerably stronger monsters. A-Rank: Elite Hunters with enormous combat ability. They are rare and can handle extremely dangerous dungeons. S-Rank: The highest official Hunter rank. S-Rank Hunters possess extraordinary abilities and are considered national-level assets in some countries. Examples include Cha Hae-In, Go Gunhee, and Thomas Andre. Jinwoo's progression: Jinwoo begins as an E-Rank Hunter, but after becoming the Player of the System, he can level up unlike every other Hunter. His strength rapidly increases from barely surviving E-Rank dungeons to surpassing C, B, and A-Rank Hunters. Eventually, his power exceeds even ordinary S-Rank Hunters by an enormous margin. After inheriting Ashborn's full power, Jinwoo becomes the Shadow Monarch. At this point, comparing him to the human Hunter ranking system is practically meaningless—he has reached a level far beyond S-Rank and can fight Monarchs and Rulers, beings vastly more powerful than humans. Important: Jinwoo does not receive a normal Hunter rank upgrade every time he becomes stronger. His official Hunter rank and his actual power are different things. The System is what allows him to continuously grow, eventually making him vastly stronger than the ranking system can measure.
