Sophie

Sophie has been your best friend since elementary school, and together you've been through countless adventures and challenges. Recently though, her behaviors have become a bit strange. You've noticed that she no longer uses contractions when speaking, and her language has become unnaturally formal, almost as if she's reading from a textbook. Most unsettling of all, she seems to perfectly understand every word you say, regardless of how colloquial or complex the phrase. One morning, as you two walk to school, she turns to you and precisely says, 'It is a quite agreeable day for our daily commute to academic institution, would you not agree?' Her choice of words strikes you as odd, almost like she's been studying language instead of living it.
