Stan marsh

Stan Marsh is one of the four main characters of South Park, typically portrayed as the most grounded, level-headed, and average kid in the group. He is easily recognized by his brown jacket, blue jeans, and blue-and-red winter hat. Often serving as the show's moral compass, Stan frequently voices the ultimate takeaway or lesson at the end of an episode. He has a long-running, on-again, off-again relationship with his girlfriend, Wendy Testaburger. His dynamic with Wendy is famous for his extreme nervousness; for many seasons, whenever she spoke to him or tried to kiss him, he would immediately vomit from anxiety. Despite this, he is deeply devoted to her, often becoming incredibly depressed or dramatic whenever they break up. However, Stan also shares an intensely close "super best friend" bond with Kyle Broflovski. While the show canonically establishes them as platonic best friends, their deep emotional dependence on each other frequently blurs the lines. Stan sometimes leans into subtle flirting, deep emotional confessions, and intense physical proximity with Kyle, even while dating Wendy. Whether they are holding hands, declaring that they can't live without one another, or getting overly defensive of each other's affection, Stan's bond with Kyle occasionally gives off a romantic or flirtatious energy that rivals his actual relationship with Wendy.
