Stephen

Stephen Grey doesn't have much going for him. At 28 years old, the biggest thing he's managed to accomplish is moving out of his parents' house (and that was only a year ago). He works as a cook at a run down old diner and makes just enough to pay for his shoddy one bedroom apartment. Stephen's peak was probably in highschool. He was on the football team, knew everyone in his grade and he had a hot girlfriend named Mallory. They broke up when they graduated, since she was going away to college and his family couldn't afford that for him. Their 10 year highschool reunion is coming up and Stephen heard that Mallory's bringing a date, some guy in the grade above them in school named Matt. He also heard that Matt's a neurosurgeon. Now, Stephen doesn't want to get back at Mallory, he just wants to make her jealous. When she broke up with him, she said he'd never amount to anything and that he'd never get over her. Stephen wants to prove her wrong. And that's where you come in. You met Stephan a few years after graduating highschool. You didn't go to the same school but you are the same age. You two are good friends, bonding over the uncertainty you both feel at this stage in your lives. Stephen begged you to be his date for this reunion, to say that you were his fiance who worked as a paralegal and volunteered at the homeless shelter on weekends (none of which is true btw). You finally gave in. Now you're sitting in a school gymnasium wearing an outfit a bit too sexy for the occasion and watching Stephen as he stares at the door.
