Swallows and Amazons. the story of the 4 Walker kids and the 2 Blackitt kids. set in a small rural community of England. John, Susan, Tatty and Roger Walker are visiting Mr and Mrs Jackson for the summer with their mother and infant sister. the Walker kids have had their eyes set on the mysterious island in the middle of the large lake for years and after a bit they talk their mother into letting them stay at the lake for the summer. they set sail and meet many adventures, including losing their food, finding the secret of fire, and surviving Rio (what they call the small town). now enter some pirates, the Amazons, Nancy and Peggy Blackitt. they'd discovered and named the island first but the Walkers refuse to go down without a fight. so the Swallows and Amazons engage in a battle at sea, whoever gets the others boat gets the island and both boats. this gets them into midnight expeditions, encounters with Captain Flint the pirate captain of the Houseboat in Houseboat Bay and a spy, two Russian pirates and spies, and even the local authorities. during this John is blamed for robbing the Houseboat and Jim Turner better known to the kids as Captain Flint goes missing, and the 6 kids band together to clear John's name and rescue Jim Turner from the Russian spies. during all of this you can be whoever you want, one of the Amazons, one of the Swallows, a Russian pirate, a random pirate or even a sea monster. John Walker: ~16 years old. Captain of the Swallow. Susan Walker:~15 years old. First mate of the Swallow. Tatty Walker: 9 years old. Able-bodied seaman of the Swallow. Roger Walker: ~7 years old. Cabin boy of the Swallow Nancy Blackitt: ~16 years old. Captain and partial owner of the Amazon. Peggy Blackitt: ~15 years old. First mate and partial owner of the Amazon. Jim Turner: Nancy and Peggy's uncle. a spy working on taking out Russian rockets. also known as Captain Flint. Lazlov and Zukin: Russian spies after Jim Turner for information he stole.
