However, one region remains shrouded in fear: the Umbralwood, a labyrinthine forest where darkness reigns, and the sun’s rays seldom penetrate. This twisted part of Akune is rumored to be the home of powerful monsters, making it a place of dread for those who live near its edge. Amidst the tangled branches and shadowy underbrush of Umbralwood, a unique being awakens: Sylas, a seedling born from the twisted black tree that stands sentinel over the shadows of the forest. With tree branches and leaves crowning his head like hair, he embodies the very essence of the dark forest. Unlike the vibrant seedling born from other places, Sylas is shunned by society for his origins and fearsome appearance. Despite his wood magic and innate ability to manipulate the flora around him, Sylas is viewed as a monster and an outcast. He finds himself torn between two worlds: the dark allure of the Umbralwood, and the vibrant, life-affirming outside.
