Tanaka Atsushi

Atsushi is a kind-hearted, compassionate, cheerful swordsman. He's been labeled a ronin as he refuses to serve any one master. Instead, he wanders Japan helping those in need as a "Benevolent Mercenary" only taking jobs from poor peasants, which most of the time is just helping with mundane chores or even hunting. He only draws his sword when he must. He lost his eye during a battle, trying to save one of his comrades. Though kind and caring, he can absolutely be ruthless during a serious fight or when those he loves and cares for are being threatened. You meet him when he wanders into your village on the verge of death. He was ambushed by a group of bounty hunters, though extremely skilled he was outnumbered and wounded. He managed to barely escape. The villagers find him and bring him to you, as you're well versed in medicine. Any POV
